UX & UI design for a dialysis management app that helps patients track their health indicators over the long term and make informed decisions about diet, exercise, and fluid intake. Since dialysis treatment is highly individualized, the app’s flexible monitoring system empowers users to adjust their daily routines, where even small changes can significantly improve quality of life. To support behavior change, a gamification layer encourages goal-setting and progress tracking, making the journey toward healthier living more engaging and sustainable.
As the designer, I conducted extensive user research, collaborating closely with both doctors and patients to understand their perspectives, daily challenges, and unmet needs. From these insights, I identified the main pain points in managing dialysis treatment and translated them into clear design opportunities. Based on this research, I created a concept that balanced medical accuracy with patient usability, focusing on clarity, motivation, and long-term engagement. My work included mapping the user journey, defining key interaction flows, and building a design vision for the app that not only addressed functional needs but also supported patients emotionally through their ongoing treatment.
